An interpretation centre is an institution for dissemination of knowledge of natural or cultural heritage. To aid and stimulate the discovery process and the visitor’s intellectual and emotional connection to heritage, the main presentation strategy t ends to be user-friendly and interactive, & often use stenographic exhibitions and multimedia programs.

Dharavi is a slum and administrative ward, over parts of Sion, Bandra, Kurla and Kalina suburbs of Mumbai, India. It is sandwiched between Mahim in the west and Sion in the east, and spread over an area of 175 hectares, In 1986, the population was estimated at 530,225, but modern Dharavi has a population of between 600,000 and over 1 million people. Dharavi is one of the largest slums in the world. It used to be the largest slum in Mumbai.
we have collected waste, vernacular and locally available material around the dharavi and created an eco-friendly structure.

Basic concept behind the design is to provide a better social life of the slum dewellers. It was observe that 80% of site area is covered with pukka and kutcha house Minimising ground coverage area to provide other other communal spaces like awareness centre, kinder garten school, open and closed communal space for the labours and hawkers is an option.“earn daily and then only you eat daily” is the motto of the slum dewwellars of ranipura.
Their livehood is supported by jobs on daily wages. Hence the main aim is focusing on minimal and basic services which they people need desperrotly and providing the hygnic and healthy environment to raise their standered of living.
